UPDATE: Death investigation in Wilson County

WILSON COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office have identified the woman whose remains were discovered by hunters on March 16 in rural Wilson County. The woman has been identified as Stephanie M. Willard, 43, of Fredonia, Kansas.

K-383 work to resume in Phillips County

The Kansas Department of Transportation began work on a portion of K-383 in Phillips County starting the week of March 20. Construction crews will complete final surfacing and shoulder work on the six-mile stretch reconstructed in 2022, starting three miles east of Long Island and ending at the U.S.
