The Rooks County Commission met with Roger Morris on Tuesday, August 15th, to discuss road concerns. Morris stated that Section Line to Y Road by Plainville has eleven potholes that need attention. He noted how large in circumference they were and that they were getting deeper.

Another former Rooks County Fair Board member has been recognized for his dedication to the board.

At the Stockton City Commission meeting, held on Tuesday, August 15th, Solomon Valley Manor Administrator Amanda Atkisson was present to review the Manor room rates, which is done on a regular basis.

With the name change in the last year from the United Methodist Church to the Stockton Church of Restoration, Pastor Ted Stapleton wanted to make sure everyone knows what this means.

The Stockton Baptist Church congregation has been helping out in the community most appreciatively.

Notices to the taxpayers are being received once again this year. The notices coming in the mail are an estimate of November’s property taxes.
