The Stockton Fire Department was called out Monday afternoon, at 3:20, for a grass fire on 9 & R Road.

This location is approximately four miles south of Webster Reservoir.

Please use extreme caution if you are in the area of this fire.

New Physical Therapist welcomed to RCH

Curtis Sohm has joined the Rooks County Health Center (RCH) Rehabilitation Department as a Physical Therapist. Curtis earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a lab emphasis from Fort Hays State University and a master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Courtney Flower resigns as Stockton City Manager/Clerk

Stockton City Manager/ Clerk Courtney Flower handed in her resignation at the regular city commission meeting held on Tuesday, September 5th, which was accepted by the commissioners. Flower was hired as the City Clerk in November of 2013 and was hired as the City Manager/Clerk in November of 2019.

Bouchey terminated at Tuesday's county commission meeting

At the regular Rooks County Commission meeting held on Tuesday, September 12th, after the three commissioners came out of an executive session, they voted to terminate road and bridge foreman and landfill foreman Rich Bouchey effective immediately. The three commissioners and Bouchey were in attendance for the executive session.
