Pastor Ted Stapleton getting The Word out

Body
With the name change in the last year from the United Methodist Church to the Stockton Church of Restoration, Pastor Ted Stapleton wanted to make sure everyone knows what this means. When the Woodston Methodist congregation joined the Stockton Methodist Church, the congregation voted to be a church that helps restore the church, community, family, and relationships, thus the Church of Restoration brand name.

Jean Lindsey marks 80 years of Rooks County Fair entries

Body
Jean Lindsey joined Webster’s 4-W/4-H group (Webster’s Willing Winning Workers) in 1943. She turned eight during the Rooks County Free Fair that year, which was always held during her birthday week, August 21st. Turning eight meant she could enter and show items as part of her 4-H group, and so began the yearly tradition of fair entries from Jean.
JEAN LINDSEY has entered items from flowers to collages at the Rooks County Free Fair for the past 80 years. She is pictured with some ribbons and the recipe book, a Grand Champion winner she made for her family as a Christmas present in 2013.
