The Stockton Junior High Tigers will open the 2025 volleyball and football seasons this Thursday when they host the Trego Golden Eagles. The volleyball matches will begin at 4:00 p.m., and the football game kicks off at 6:00 p.m.

The Stockton Lady Tigers got off to a good start last Friday, sweeping their competition in volleyball action at Natoma. The Lady Tigers downed Chase 25-11, 25-16, and then defeated Natoma 25-16, 25-19.

Youth 17 and younger, who possess a valid deer permit, may hunt during this special deer season only (Saturday, September 6th through Sunday, September 14th) while under the immediate supervision of an adult 18 or older.

The Stockton High School football team is ready to hit the field for their season opener against Logan/Palco this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in Logan. The Tigers are looking to turn the page after a challenging season last year, where they struggled to secure a victory.

The annual dove-hunting season in Kansas for mourning and whitewinged doves begins this Monday, September 1st, and runs until Saturday, November 29th. The daily bag limit of 15 applies to mourning and whitewinged doves, whether as a single species or in combination, with a possession limit of 45.
