It was a sweep for the Stockton Junior High Basketball teams when they went on the road to Natoma last Thursday. The Stockton A-Team girls enjoyed another easy victory, winning 35-3, while the B Team won 16-2.

The Stockton Junior High Lady Tigers opened their 2025 basketball season with a 49-22 win over the visiting Lakeside Lady Knights last Thursday in Stockton. The Lady Tiger B Team also cruised to an easy, 22-0 victory in their opener.

SHS Tiger Football season ends in loss to Ness City

The 2025 season came to an end for the Stockton High School Football team when they traveled to Ness City on October 30 to take on the Eagles. Despite Ness City leading the Tigers 64-0 at halftime, both teams wanted to continue to play the second half to give their junior varsity players time on the field. Throughout the third and fourth quarters, the clock ran continuously, and Stockton went on to fall by the score of 78-0.

Hoeting finishes 24th at 1A State XC Meet

Stockton High School senior Cheyenne Hoeting capped off her high school cross country career with a strong showing at the KSHSAA Class 1A State Cross Country Championships held Saturday in Wamego. Hoeting placed 24th out of 94 runners in the girls’ 5K race, clocking a time of 22:01.32—just shy of medaling for the second consecutive year.
