Stockton freshman Jonathan Hamel capped off his successful cross country season by earning a 13th-place medal at the Class 1A KSHSAA State Cross Country Meet held last Saturday afternoon at Sand Plum Nature Trail in Victoria.

The Stockton Junior High Tigers will be at home for the first time this basketball season when they host the the Norton Blue Jays in a Mid-Continent Elementary League matchup. Games will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the girls playing in the high school gym, and the boys in the junior high gym.
The Stockton Tigers got their first win of the season last Friday when they defeated the Trego Golden Eagles in WaKeeney by the score of 32-8. The Tigers outplayed their opponents on both sides of the football to get the exciting win and improve to 1-7 on the season.
Stockton freshman Jonathan Hamel is headed to the Class 1A State Cross Country Meet to be held this Saturday at Sand Plum Nature Trail in Victoria. At the regional meet in Tribune last Saturday, Hamel finished the race in eighth place, crossing the finish line in a time of 18:47, and earning himself a spot at State this weekend.
The Stockton Lady Tigers’ volleyball season came to an end last Saturday after they were defeated by the Atwood-Rawlins County Lady Buffaloes in the first round of the sub-state volleyball tournament hosted by Stockton.
