Hello June! It’s June! School is out, and the endless days of summer are finally here! And don’t forget to celebrate some of these national holidays during the month….

I want to take a moment to recognize my friend and co-worker Wes Higdon. I've known Wes for several years; however, only in the last few months have I really come to know him. Whenever I have seen Wes around town, I have been impressed by his positive attitude and glowing personality.

Dear Sentinel: I enjoy reading your paper. I would like to see the crossword puzzle larger.

This and That * I like this….If you had to choose between eating tacos every day or being skinny for the rest of your life—would you choose hard or soft tacos? * I saved all my hollyhock seeds last year and planted every one of them by my back fence on the west side of my house last fall.

Memorial Day A poem I found for this Memorial Day….. There is a day we stop and remember, The men who fought with bravery.

Praise be to the teachers, coaches, and support staff! Teaching! Not for the faint of heart or weak of moral fibers or an average person. Teaching is more than a 9-5 job.

Vacation Time!! My favorite vacations are the ones I take with my family. But what makes some of those vacations even more special are the ones I have taken with them that involved a sandy beach, the ocean, and plenty of sunshine!
