This ‘n That

* Imagine, before the internet pizza delivery employees actually had to talk to someone on a rotary or push button phone, write down their order along with the address the person wanted it delivered to, and then they delivered that pizza to the house in less than 30 minutes. And that was without having GPS!

* I recently found out that the mustang Spirit from the 2002 animated movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” was fashioned after a real horse and he’s now 29 years old!

* Fall is just a “leaf” away! * People need to learn the difference between to and too, where and wear, lose and loose, you’re and your, etc. Do you get my drift?

* My grandkids asked me if I knew anybody who eats candy corn. I told them, I didn’t know of anybody who ate the little kernels plain, but rather, it’s all about what you mix with the candy corn that makes them tasty. My favorite is a bag of candy corn mixed with a bag of plain M&Ms and a jar of salted peanuts thrown in. What’s your favorite candy corn combination? Or do you eat them plain?

* My goal this winter is to downsize my entire house. I have things in closets, drawers, and plastic tubs that have not seen the light of day for years, so now is the time to purge! Well, maybe, because I say this every year.

* Is there such a thing as pumpkin spice perfume? That would smell divine, and I would buy a bottle, or two.

* It’s finally September so now all we need is sweater weather and falling leaves!

* Who remembers Billy Ocean? Two of my favorite songs of his are “Caribbean Queen” and Get Outta My Dreams.”

* Before Summer officially leaves us and Fall begins, here are a few “Summerween” things to do: carve a watermelon, go on a nighttime picnic, look for more Fall/Halloween Halloween décor, and start planning your costume! Plus, during this tween time you can already pick up those Little Debbie pumpkin spice rolls!
