Adolph “Duff” Gerard Laska, age 61, of Salina, was called home Thursday, June 2nd, 2022. He was born December 31st, 1960, in Omaha, Nebraska to Adolph J. and Lucille L. Laska.

Joyce Elaine (Hulse) Harkness, age 81, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home with her husband and daughter by her side. She was born August 15, 1940, in Plainville, Kansas. She was one of five children born to Ray and Helen (Martin) Hulse.

Caroline Maxine Manis, age 78, passed away on Monday May 30, 2022, at her home in Woodston. On October 6, 1993, she was united in marriage to Jack Edward Manis, Jr. in Dodge City, Kansas. An obituary is pending with Rentschler Family Mortuaries in Smith Center.

Charles “Charlie” Arthur Meadows, age 84, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, May 30, 2022. He and his wife Jane were owners of Ackarman Hardware & Lumber for over 25 years. Charlie was born in Caney, Kansas to Ernest R. and V. Naomi (Brown) Meadows on March 2, 1938.

Larry “Flash” Samuel Kuhlmann passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Redbud Village in Plainville at the age of 74. He was born on April 8, 1948, to Clarence Samuel and Geraldine Dorthea (Prosser) Kuhlmann in Athol, Kansas. He married Patricia Garrison on October 30, 1967, in Hill City.

Donald Eugene Bethel passed away on May 21, 2022, in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 83.

Douglas Wayne Carmichael passed away on May 22, 2022, in Hays, Kansas at the age of 60.

With great sorrow, the family of Ruth Ann (Albright) O'Malley announces that she went home to be with Jesus on May 19, 2022. She passed away in her Florida home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Glennace Mowry Kirn was born July 2, 1929, on a farm north of Gorham, Kansas, to Floyd Albert and Mary Josephine (Frank) Mowry. She passed away May 26, 2022. When she was three years old, the family moved to a farm southwest of Plainville where she grew up and attended Windy Ridge rural school.
