Donald M. Desaire, Sr., age 79, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away September 8, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne.
He was born April 23, 1942 in Damar, Kansas to Leo and Violeta Deloris Desaire. He married Nancy Lee Harp on October 21, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. He was a veteran, having served in the US Air Force and was the chief housing inspector for the Housing Authority for the City of Loveland, Colorado. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland.
John Riener, age 42, of Atwood, Kan., passed away Sept. 4, 2021, in Phillipsburg, Kan.
He was born March 10, 1979, at McCook Community Hospital to Karol and Patricia (Marintzer) Riener. John graduated from Herndon High School in 1997, Colby Community College in 1999, and Northwest Kansas Area Vocational Technical School in 2000. On May 10, 2008, he married Keri Waterman. To this union, two children, Barrett and Josie, were born. John was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Atwood, Kan.

Leon John Hammerschmidt, Plainville, passed away on his 80th birthday on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Redbud Village in Plainville.
From the humblest of beginnings, Leon was born on August 31, 1941 in rural Victoria, Kansas to Joe and Matilda Hammerschmidt, the fifth of 13 children. He grew up on a farm in a small, three-bedroom farmhouse. He attended school and only completed 8th grade before he went to work in the oilfield to help support and provide for his siblings and parents.
