Stephen Douglas Rock of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on June 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. at the age of 66.
He was born on March 22, 1955, to Don and Garnett Rock in Colby, Kan.
Steve attended high school in Stockton, Kan., where he graduated, serving as president of his class. He went on to attend Kansas University.
Steve moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 2014. Prior to living in Bella Vista, he lived in various Kansas areas, Texas, and Colorado.
Former Stockton resident Kayla Danielle Higle, age 29, of Salina, passed away July 12th, 2021.
She was born January 15th, 1992, in Hutchinson to Tony Higle and Leia Brooks. She was the mother of two handsome boys, Trenton Thompson, age 9, of Salina, and Taesyn Benoit, age 5, of Palco.
She loved sports, especially soccer as a child. She was a rough and rowdy tom-boy who loved animals—especially monkeys. She always said she would own one someday but never got the chance. She loved children from a young age and was so excited to have children of her own.
Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Norton passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at her home in Plainville at the age of 65.
She was born in Plainville on October 9, 1955 to William and Esther “Ruth” (Larsen) Brickley. Bobbi was united in marriage to Don Norton. The couple was blessed with two children: Kim and Thomas. The couple later divorced.
Ronald M. Chesney, age 72, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away after an extended battle with cancer Monday, July 5, 2021, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.
Ronnie was born March 13, 1949 in Hays. He was one of five sons born to Homer Bruce and Eileen (Meyers) Chesney. He grew up in Natoma and graduated from Natoma High School in the Class of 1968. He has lived all of his life in the Natoma area.
Rylan Alexander Gier, Sylvan Grove, entered into the arms of his savior on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri at the young age of 14.

Marlin Gene “Mark” Foster, of Stockton, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 84.
He was born to Ivan and Emma (Ziems) Foster on March 19, 1937, in Seward, Nebraska. Mark was blessed with four children: Rick, Randy, Rhonda, and Rebecca.
