Terry Dean Tennyson, age 72, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, with complications from dementia. He was surrounded by music, singing and the love of his family.

He was born September 30, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas, to Phillip and Verla Tennyson. Terry graduated from Plainville High School and attended college at Fort Hays State University as well as Brown Mackie College.

Terry was united in marriage to Melanie (Voelzke) on September 3rd, 1971, in Salina, Kansas. Terry and Melanie were blessed by three children: Travis, Tricia, and Tracie.

Devon Joseph Mick departed this world tragically too soon, at the young age of 25, on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Plainville, Kansas.

He was born to Kelly (Boller) Hrabe and Damien Mick on March 21, 1997, in Hays, Kansas. Devon was engaged to Jailen Plummer; the couple was blessed with two sons: Bentley and Staley.

Patricia Ann (Newell) Belisle, age 87, of Damar, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Damar.

She was born September 29, 1934 in Damar to Arthur and Alice (Thibault) Newell. On April 15, 1951 she married Duane V. "Arkie" Belisle. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2019.

Randal “Randy” Wayne Conrad, age 72, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell, Kansas.

He was born February 28, 1950, in Concordia, Kansas to Auldin and Marion (Wineland) Conrad. He grew up and worked on the family farm near Alton, Kansas and was a 1968 graduate of Natoma High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering Degree at Kansas State University. Shortly thereafter, he obtained his small-aircraft pilot’s license.

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Beckley, age 59, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Midland Hospice Care. 

Liz was born January 16, 1963 in Stockton, Kansas. She graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1982. She went on and attended WTI in Topeka. She married Ron Beckley.  He preceded her in death September 26, 2019.  Liz worked as a cashier for several businesses including the Salvation Army. She also worked as the deli manager at the Kwik Shop. She enjoyed cooking. She attended Fellowship Hi-Crest Church. 

Mildred Minnie (Hermanns) Grauerholz passed away on August 27, 2022.

She was born on November 28, 1921. Mildred grew up on a farm south of Athol, Kansas. She married Lester Grauerholz, also of rural Athol, and together they reared three children. She was active in the St. John Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing the piano, helped with farm chores, and was noted for being an excellent seamstress and cook. Family and field hands alike always looked forward to her pies and desserts. She was generous with her time and put the needs of others ahead of her own.

Nancy May (Levin) Muir passed away on August 26, 2022, at her home in Stockton at the age of 90.

Bethel P. McElroy passed away on August 23, 2022, in Sterling, Kansas at the age of 91.

John Ross Boos, age 38, of LaCrosse, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in LaCrosse.

He was born December 8, 1983, in Oakley, Kansas, to Bernard “Barney” and Sheila (Ross) Boos Jr.

John had worked as a CNA at the Good Samaritan Society in Ellis and Redbud Village in Plainville and currently was working in the LaCrosse area doing lawn care. John was a fun-loving, good-natured person who truly enjoyed his family and friends. John was always the first to offer help to family and friends. He enjoyed dancing, cooking, camping and fishing in his spare time.

Longtime rural Alton resident, Imogene Mae Thornburg, age 92, passed away August 19, 2022, at Parkview Manor in Osborne.
