Phillip R. Hammond, 69, of Ulysses, passed away at his home early in the morning of June 14th with his wife and son at his side following a battle with cancer. He was born on March 23, 1955, to Raymond and Mignon Hammond in Garden City.

Margaret Evelyn Fenton Chatham passed away on June 17, 2024, at the Osborne County Memorial Hospital. in Osborne.

Shirley Weigel, 89, Hays, formerly of Plainville, died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Rooks County Health Center surrounded by her family.

Monte Lee Adamson passed away at his home in Zurich with his loved ones by his side on June 8, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He was 69 years old. He was born on August 29, 1954, in Long Beach, California, to Henry and Shirley Adamson.

Connie Joyce Easter, of Hays, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Hays, at the age of 88. She was born on February 18, 1936, to Rex E. and Mary B. (Larsen) Mills in Galesbury, Illinois. She married Herbert Duane Easter in Palco on October 18, 1952.

Lois Mae (Hansen) Ellis, 75, Lebanon, passed away on June 2, 2024, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center. She was born August 31, 1948, in Norton, to Earl and Lenora (Robinson) Hansen. Lois married Leslie Ellis on June 26, 1971.

Kenneth Francis “Kenny” Goetz, 81, LaCrosse, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Hays Medical Center in Hays. He was born September 16, 1942, in Victoria, Kansas, the son of Alphonse P. and Leoba (Schmidtberger) Goetz. He has lived in LaCrosse since 1973, moving from Great Bend.

Terrence Joseph "Terry" Kortan, age 76, of Palco, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Rooks County Hospital. Born on February 22, 1948, in Hays, Kansas, Terry was the only child of Frank and Emma (Brin) Kortan.

Robert Duane “R.D” Harmon, formerly of Texas, passed away on May 24, 2024, at his home in Plainville, at the age of 73. He was born on July 3, 1950, in Garden City, Kansas, to Duane and Wilma (Ginther) Harmon. R.D. grew up in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1968.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Steven M. “Steve” Hahn of Stockton will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Walker Senior Center, 201 S. Walnut Street, Stockton.
