We welcomed back Pastor Brian this week, and our focus was on Communion. Most all Christians understand the importance of taking the emblems each week to remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for each of us, but sometimes we need to go back and do a deeper study.

At the monthly meeting of the Stockton PRIDE committee held on Tuesday, November 17th, the members present set the dates for the Christmas Lighting Contest.

The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced approved bids for 26 state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The letting took place Oct. 21, 2020, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

THE BEGGAR. It seems safe to say that none of us would ever want to be put in the place of having to literally beg others for their help. Of course, the idea of begging is pleading with others. Actual instances in the Bible of begging are rare.

We are what we think. In Genesis 6:5, God was lamenting that he had even created man because, “every inclination of the thoughts of (man’s) heart was only evil all the time.” It was bad enough that God decided to flood the world, and “start over.”

The Stockton Public Library Board met on Monday November 9th and reported the following statistcs for the month of October: Patrons Using Library—1,144, Library Materials Checked Out—813, Adults Utilizing Library—510, Children Utilizing Library—303, Interlibrary Loans Sent—126, Interlibrary Loans...
