STOCKTON’S MAIN STREET was lit up in festive style during Friday night’s Olde Tyme Christmas celebration and parade. There were 43 entries in the parade, with most of them adorned with lights, putting the large crowd in attendance in the Christmas spirit.

President Karen McCune brought the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with great food provided by Linda Stamper and Janice Miller. Secretary Terrii Collins took Roll Call with some Show and Tell. Twenty-two members and one guest, Barb Henson, answered it.

Karen McCune receives Certificate of Appreciation

Karen McCune, a member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and a local quilt club that presents veterans with their Quilt of Valor through the Quilt of Valor Program, recently received a Certificate of Appreciation for her presentation to the Fort Hays Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution regarding the Quilt of Valor Program.
BILL POSSON, Stuggart, recently presented Karen McCune with a Certificate of Appreciation for her presentation to the Fort Hays Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution regarding the Quilt of Valor Program.

Last Sunday the high was in the low-to-mid 60s with mostly sunny skies. Monday was mostly sunny with temperature nearing the 80- degree mark. Tuesday was mostly cloudy but the temperature still hit the high 70s. Wednesday was cloudy with the high hitting the 50-degree mark. Thursday was mostly sunny with the temperature in the mid 50s. Friday the mercury made it back up into the 60s with partly cloudy skies. Saturday was another low 60-degree temperature with cloudy skies. Evenings were dipping down into the high 20s to low 30s.

Stockton Junior High music students perform at KMEA Mini Convention

Stockton Junior High choir students, Dayton Carpenter, Kolby Dix, Cheyenne Hoeting, Isaac Thayer and Mya Trevino, and band student Baileigh Balthazor (trumpet) who were selected and attended the Kansas Northwest KMEA Mini Convention on Saturday, November 6th at the Hays High School. The Guest Clinicians were Dr. Ryan Heinlein, Heather Augustine and Shawn Knopp.
PARTICIPATING in the KMEA junior high choir and band session at Hays High School on Saturday, November 6th were Stockton music students Mya Travino, Baileigh Balthazor (band), Cheyenne Hoeting, Dayton Carpenter, Isaac Thayer and Kolby Dix.
