Jared Casey and Benjamin Hansen both of Plainville, are among the more than 6,800 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earning honor roll distinction for the spring 2023 semester. The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and in the schools of Architecture & Design, Business, Education & Human Sciences, Engineering, Health Professions, Journalism & Mass Communications, Music, Nursing, Pharmacy, Professional Studies and Social Welfare.

The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, July 24, 2023, at the Stockton Church of the Restoration at 7 pm. Susan G. opened up with the flag salute and read the FCE creed. Roll call was, 'How many things are you entering in the fair?' Seven ladies answered it.

Mary Miller (after looking at the Fair pictures in the Sentinel window): “Don’t you wish we could get some of these entertainers to come back to the Fair?” Dale Anderson: “‘Confusion’ said that beer, lemonade and Mountain Dew soda pop are the healthiest drinks for you because they come out of you the same color as when they went into you. There is definitely something wrong with chocolate milk, coffee, tea and Cola soda pops.”.
