Remember that the potato bar to support the River Valley Youth as they raise funds to attend a Youth Camp is this Saturday! Join them for a free-will offering at the River Valley Church, located at 120 South Spruce Street in Stockton, on Saturday, April 26th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

It’s spring-cleaning time! The Stockton City-Wide Cleanup (trash customers within the Stockton City limits) is next week April 28th through May 2nd.

A Walking Taco Fundraiser will be held at Reds Venue (425 Main Street) in Stockton this Friday, April 25th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

All are welcome to attend the Rooks County Historical Society’s annual meeting this Sunday, April 27th, at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Museum located at 921 South Cedar in Stockton.

Come learn how to hem clothing and sew on buttons! The Stockton Public Library is holding a Beginning Sewing Workshop led by Mara Morgan on Tuesday, May 6th at 4:00 p.m. or Thursday, May 29th at 5:00 p.m.

Come to the Stockton Public Library on Fridays, starting May 16th through August 15th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for the facility's new Chess Club! This recreational pastime is for all ages.

Monday—No School. Tuesday—Breakfast pizza, peaches, juice, milk.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, April 21, are as follows: Monday—Chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, brussel sprouts, bread, Ambrosia salad. Tuesday—Oven-baked chicken, parslied potatoes, pasta salad with veggies, bread, applesauce.

The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room. The public is encouraged to attend.

The Stockton Sentinel is asking the SHS Seniors for a framed 8x10 photo for the annual window display. Please drop off your pictures at the high school office before the end of April, so we can carry on this tradition!
