Body The Rooks County Historical Society and Museum is proud to once again hold the Farm Life Photo Contest at the Rooks County Free Fair. The contest provides an opportunity to showcase favorite farm related photographs from yesterday or yesteryear.

Body The Nova Theatre in Stockton will continue to show free movies on Wednesdays throughout July for the community. Although most of the movies will still be shown at 2:00 p.m.

Body The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room.

Body Closed on Fridays during the summer months 183 Lanes in Stockton has closed down the lanes for the summer with “No Bowling” from Monday, June 9th till Saturday, August 23rd, with the leagues to start up again on Monday, September 8th.

Body The Kansas Department of Transportation planned to begin a resurfacing project on a portion of K-383 in Norton County the week of June 9.

Body The menus at Walker Senior Center for the week beginning Monday, June 16, are as follows: Monday—Beef frank on a bun, marinated cucumbers, strawberries and bananas, no bake cookie. Tuesday—Chef salad with ham, crackers, mandarin oranges, brownie.
