The Stockton VFW Post #8873 will celebrate and honor the Legendary Brigadier General Robin Olds with a Mustache March Contest.

A Youth Hunt for young hunters ages 11 through 15 will be held on Saturday, March 4th. For more information or to sign up, please call Staci Ketelsen at 785-4258328.

The Stockton Farmers Union Mercantile & Shipping Association’s Annual Expo (323 South Cedar) is Thursday, March 2nd, and Friday, March 3rd. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cookies will be served on both days.

The Stockton VFW Post #8873 wants chili cooks ready to claim bragging rights at their public Chili Cook-Off and Supper event set for Saturday, March 11th. The deadline to enter the contest is Wednesday, March 8th. Entry forms are available at the Post and through their Facebook page.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, February 20, are as follows: Monday—Polish sausage, macaroni and cheese, asparagus, bread, pears. Tuesday—Chicken noodle soup, coleslaw, crackers, orange/pineapple salad. Wednesday—Baked fish, parslied potatoes, stewed tomatoes, bread, peaches.

Monday—No School. Tuesday—Go-Gurt, cook’s choice, fruit, juice, milk.

The annual St. Thomas Mardi Gras Dinner is this Sunday, February 19th serving from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Thomas Parish Center in Stockton.

Just a reminder that the Stockton Food Pantry is open every third Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Food Pantry is located at 602 Main Street in the building behind the Main Street Christian Church Parsonage.

There will be regular USD 271 Board of Education meeting on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the District Office beginning at 5:30 p.m.
