Bryson Vawter, son of Ryan and Erin Vawter, Topeka, has accepted a Division 1 baseball scholarship to play for the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers in Bowling Green, Kentucky for the 2025-2026 school year. The Hilltoppers compete in the Conference USA.

The Stockton Lady Tigers played their way to a Class 1A DI Regional Championship last Tuesday at home, advancing them to the sub-state tournament this last Saturday in Tribune.

It's time again for the much-anticipated 2024 Kansas Upland Bird Hunting Season. Pheasant and Quail Youth Hunting Season is this Saturday, November 2nd, and Sunday, November 3rd.

Cheyenne Hoeting was the fourth-place finisher in the Northern Plains League Cross Country Meet held last Thursday in Downs. Her time of 21:58 for the 3.1-mile race also earned her a 15th-place finish overall.

The Stockton Junior High Volleyball Team played well on Thursday when they hosted the Cougars from Sylvan-Lucas. Both the A Team and B Team downed their opponents in two sets each.
