This Friday marks the opening of the 2024-25 basketball season for the Stockton High School Lady Tigers and Tiger Boys when they travel to Kensington to take on the Thunder Ridge Longhorns. The Tiger teams will follow up their season opener with the Pre-Season Basketball Tournament which Stockton is hosting this year.

The Stockton High School Girls and Boys Wrestling Teams will travel to WaKeeney on Friday and Saturday this week for their openers. The Lady Tigers will be competing on Friday afternoon beginning at 3:00 p.m., while the Tiger Boys will wrestle on Saturday with a 10:00 a.m.

Stockton hosted Rock Hills in junior high basketball action on Monday, November 25. Although they nearly pulled off a victory, the A-Team girls suffered a 14-13 loss to Rock Hills, while the A-Team Boys fell 40-20.

The Stockton Junior High Basketball Teams traveled to Sylvan last Thursday to take on Sylvan-Lucas in Prairie Trails League action. Unfortunately, the Tiger A Teams both fell to the host Mustangs, with the Stockton girls losing 54-29, and the Tiger boys coming out on the short end of a 40-20 score.

This Monday marked the start of the Winter Sports seasons for Stockton High School, with practices for basketball and wrestling getting underway. The Tigers will open their season on December 6 with the basketball teams traveling to Kensington to take on Thunder Ridge, and the girls’ wrestling squad on the road to WaKeeney.

Playing in their basketball home opener last Thursday, the Stockton Junior High Tigers swept their visiting opponents, the Paradise Tigers. The Stockton A-Team Girls cruised to a 41-6 win, the A-Team Boys held on for a 27-19 victory, and the Tigers’ B Teams won 17-5 and 33-27, respectively.
