Hoeting qualifies for second straight State Cross Country Meet

Stockton High School senior Cheyenne Hoeting has punched her ticket to the 2025 KSHSAA Class 1A State Cross Country Championships, which will be held this Saturday at the Wamego Country Club. Running through a nagging ankle injury, Hoeting turned in a gritty performance at the Regional Meet last Saturday at the Ellis Golf Course, finishing 14th overall with a time of 21:55.45 in the 5K race— good enough to earn her a return trip to the state meet.

SHS Tigers to face Ness City this Thursday

SHS Lady Tigers compete in Osborne Triangular

Last Tuesday the Stockton Lady Tigers were on the road to Osborne to take on Rock Hills and the host Lady Bulldogs. Although Stockton’s JV girls defeated Osborne JV, 25-10, 25-12, the Lady Tiger varsity didn’t fare so well, falling to Rock Hills 13-25, 10-25, and to Osborne, 15-25, 14-25.

SJH Tiger Teams finish regular season schedule

Last Thursday the regular season came to an end for the Stockton Junior High Volleyball and Football Teams when they traveled to Sylvan-Lucas. The volleyball girls played a triangular against the host school and Natoma, while the football team took on Sylvan-Lucas.

Hoeting finishes sixth in the NPL XC Meet

Last Thursday, Cheyenne Hoeting represented Stockton High School at the cross country meet hosted by Lakeside in Downs, which also served as the Northern Plains League Meet. Hoeting turned in another strong performance, earning sixth place in the league with a time of 22:58.90, and placing 18th overall among 71 competitors.
