The Stockton Tiger Wrestling Team opened its season last Friday, traveling to Plainville to take on Phillipsburg and the host Cardinals. In the Tigers’ matchup with Phillipsburg, Stockton won each of its six matches, four of them by fall, one by major decision and one by a decision.

The Stockton Tiger wrestlers got off to a good start in 2020 tournament action on Saturday, placing six wrestlers in the top 4 at the Osborne Invitational.

Stockton Tiger junior Rylan Basart and senior Leighton Colburn were recently named to the 2020 Mid-Continent League All League Football Team. Basart earned First Team honors on Defense and Special Teams, and was named to the Second Team on Offense.

Stockton Tiger basketball teams got off to a rough start in their season opener at Russell last Friday, with the Lady Tigers losing 72-41, and the Tiger boys falling 57-41. This week Stockton will be participating in the Pre-Season Basketball Tournament.

The Stockton Lady Tigers picked up a 29-14 win over Plainville in junior high basketball action at Plainville on Monday, November 30. The contest was a make-up game from November 19.

Although the winter sports seasons are now underway, they will be held with several restrictions in effect.

The Stockton High School boys and girls basketball teams will be tackling the 2020-21 season with low numbers on each roster. The teams began practicing for the season on Monday, November 16, with the Lady Tigers and Tiger boys sporting eight and 11 players, respectively.

The 2020-21 wrestling season is underway with the Stockton Tigers scheduled to open this Friday with a triangular this Friday at Plainville. This date has been added to the original schedule. The Tigers will wrestle second and third, taking on Phillipsburg and Plainville.
