SHS Tigers drop to 0-3 with loss to Wheatland-Grinnell

The Stockton Tigers saw their record drop to 0-3 on the season with a 54-22 loss to the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks in Grinnell last Friday. The box score stats for the game show the two teams playing fairly even, with Stockton running 54 total plays (14 first downs) to the Thunderhawks’ 53 plays (15 first downs), but the Tigers committed 8 penalties for 47 yards, to only 4 penalties for 35 yards for Wheatland-Grinnell.

SHS Lady Tigers fall to Trego & TMP

Last Tuesday the Stockton Lady Tigers competed in a triangular in Trego with TMP and the host Lady Eagles. Stockton fell in its first match to Trego 17-25, 12-25, and then lost to the Lady Monarchs 18-25, 10-25.

Junior High Tigers defeat Wilson

It was another successful afternoon and evening for the Stockton Junior High volleyball and football teams when they hosted Wilson last Thursday. In the A Team volleyball match, Stockton won decisively 25-10, 25-3.

1A State XC Meet to be held in Victoria

The Kansas State High School Activities Association recently released the sites for state cross country meets. This year, being consistent with risk mitigation efforts, Sand Plum Nature Trail in Victoria, was added as a third site to reduce the number of runners at each venue and allow for more time between races.

SJH Lady Tigers do well in triangular at Hill City

The Stockton Junior High Lady Tigers were on the road to Hill City this Monday for a triangular with Phillipsburg and the host Lady Ringnecks. Stockton’s A Team split, falling to Phillipsburg 15-25, 13-25, but downing Hill City 25-10, 25-8.
