Stockton High School senior Olivia Dix was recently named to the 2021 Mid-Continent League’s Honorable Mention list which is voted on by coaches throughout the League. Dix was the leader of the young Lady Tigers’ team which finished with a record of 10-24.
Stockton hosted the Hoxie Indians in junior high basketball action last Tuesday, with Hoxie sweeping the Tiger teams. The Stockton boys’ A Team was defeated 52-10, the B Team lost 32-4, and the C Team fell 12-6. In girls action, the A Team lost 45-2, and the B Team was defeated 41-4.

The 2021 junior high basketball season tipped off last Tuesday with the Stockton Tigers hosting the Oakley Plainsmen. The Stockton boys’ B Team was the only group to pick up a winning, downing the Plainsmen 8-6 in two quarters of action.
The wait is over for Kansas anglers who have been eagerly waiting for the Nov. 1 opening day of trout season. More than 30 waters are being stocked with rainbow trout, providing anglers across the state with winter fishing opportunities.

Stockton Tiger sophomore Jonathan Hamel set another PR on his way to a seventh-place finish at the Class 1A State Cross Country Championships held last Saturday morning at Sand Plum Nature Trail west of Victoria. Hamel crossed the finish line in a time of 17:16.5, 17 seconds faster than his time last year at State, which earned him a 13th-place medal. Senior Corbin Ricke of Spearville won the 2021 race in a time of 16:26.6, outdistancing the other 94 competitors.
