The Stockton High School Track Team will open its season this Friday, traveling to Hoxie for the first meet which is slated to start at 3:00 p.m. In their next meet, the Tigers will be at home, hosting the Stockton Invitational, on Tuesday, April 12, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

This Thursday marks the opening of the track season for the Stockton Junior High Tigers when they travel to Smith Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. The Tigers will be at home on Tuesday, the 12th, when they host a meet which will start at 10:00 a.m.

The 2022 season for the Stockton Tiger Golf Team begins next Tuesday when the varsity travels to Smith Center for the first tournament, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. On Thursday, the junior varsity squad will be on the road to Trego for a tourney also set to start at 1:00 p.m.

Yes, it’s spring and the RoCo Softball season is already underway with the girls traveling to Russell Tuesday of this week to take on the Broncos, and this Thursday they will be on the road to Ellis. The games against the Lady Railroaders are scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.

ASPEN WALKER of Gardner competed in Girls Folkstyle Nationals 12u 80 lb bracket in Colorado Springs on March 19, finishing as National Runner-up. Aspen is the granddaughter of Jim Walker of Stockton, and daughter of Chris (‘97 SHS Grad) and Deanne Walker, Gardner. (Submitted by Chris Walker)

The Stockton Wrestling Club had six wrestlers qualify for State competition, March 12 and 13, in Topeka at the 2022 USAWKS Folkstyle Wrestling Championships. The club came home with a State Champion in Carolina Northup, wrestling at 14 & Under Girls 92-lbs.

Stockton High School’s six-foot senior Olivia Dix was recently named to the 2022 Mid-Continent League Second Team in basketball. The teams are voted on by the league coaches. Dix, who ended her high school career scoring over 1,000 points, was the only Lady Tiger recognized.
