Last Tuesday the Stockton High School Tiger Basketball teams traveled to WaKeeney to take on the Trego Golden Eagles in Mid-Continent League action, with Stockton falling in both contests. The Lady Tigers were defeated 59-16, while the Tiger boys lost 17-57.

With the cancellation of the Russell Wrestling Tournament, both the Stockton High School girls and boys traveled to Goodland last Saturday for the Goodland Holiday Classic Wrestling Tournament. Once again, the small Tiger squad made a good showing with Ashlyn Hahn winning the 120-lb.

The Stockton Junior High Tiger Boys Basketball team captured an exciting overtime win in Smith Center last Monday as they defeated their opponents by the score of 53-43. Stockton’s A-Team girls lost to Smith Center 4-46.

The Stockton High School Striders dance team performed a Christmas-themed dance routine for those in attendance at the Stockton Tigers vs. TMP Monarchs basketball game on Friday, December 16. Stockton High School’s Tiger Girls Wrestling team was in Great Bend on Friday and Saturday last week competing along with 28 other schools in the Christmas Clash. Sophomore Ashlyn Hahn, wrestling at 120, was the top placer for the Lady Tigers, finishing third.

Last week the Stockton Tiger Basketball teams wereinOsbornethreedays where they competed in the Preseason Basketball Tournament. Besides the host Bulldogs, Lakeside and Thunder Ridge also participated. The Osborne boys and girls both ended up winning the tourney, going undefeated.

The Stockton Tiger boys were in Ellis on Friday for the 2022 Railer Round Robin where they performed well. Freshman Cameron Balthazor and sophomore Emerson Lowry placed third, and sophomore Ryan Mongeau finished fifth.

Jevin Rush, representing the Stockton Wrestling Club, hit the road to Oberlin last Saturday to compete in the Oberlin Open. Rush, who was coached by his dad Jezariah Rush, wrestled his way to a firstplace finish in the 6U Boys 46 class.

Last Monday the Stockton Junior High Tigers hosted the Trego Golden Eagles in Mid-Continent Elementary League basketball action. The Tigers were on the road to Smith Center this Monday, and will be at home for the last time, hosting Russell this Thursday in their final game of the season. Action will begin at 4:30 p.m. In the games against Trego, the A-Team girls were defeated 0-43, the B Team fell 10-31, and the C Team lost 6-17. On the boys side, Stockton fell 10-41 in the A-Team game, the B-Team boys were defeated 7-41, and the C Teamers lost 6-32.
