Hahn named Most Outstanding Wrestler at Nickerson

For the second time this season, Stockton’s Ashlyn Hahn was named Most Outstanding Wrestler for her efforts on the mat at the Nickerson Invitational last Friday. Hahn (120) went 5-0 on the day, winning each match with a fall, to improve to 19-1 overall.

Also placing at Nickerson were Carolina Northup (100), Temprance Northup (110), and Rivver Long (190), who finished second, sixth and sixth, respectively.

C. Northup, who is 13-7 on the season, recorded three falls and a bye before losing in round five to Jasmin Beltran of Dodge City to take second.

T. Northup (110) went 2-3 on the day, getting falls in rounds three and four, before falling to Sheyenne Pinkston of Remington in the fifth-place match.

Long was defeated in the first two rounds before receiving a bye. She then won by injury default to advance to the fifth-Ashlyn place match, where she fell to Yessica Esquivel of Hoisington to take sixth.

As a team, Stockton scored 56 points to finish ninth out of 19 teams. The Tiger girls will be competing in the Mid-Continent League Wrestling Tournament this Friday in Norton. Matches are set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
