The Rooks County Conservation District is encouraging young photographers to showcase their creativity and appreciation for conservation by entering the 2026 RCCD Photo Contest during this year's Rooks County Free Fair.

As the Rooks County Free Fair gets underway, 183 Lanes has announced special operating hours for fair week. The bowling center will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, and 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
