With the start of a new school year, the Sentinel-Times is introducing a new way to help readers keep up with activities taking place throughout our area schools.

In past years, we published Stockton’s complete school activities calendar at the beginning of each month. With the Sentinel-Times now covering four school districts, we are changing things up a bit. Each week, our Around Our Schools Activities Calendar will feature activities scheduled for the following week at Stockton, Plainville, Palco and Natoma schools.

This week’s calendar can be found on Page 7.

We hope the weekly calendar will provide readers with a convenient place to see what is happening throughout our area schools, whether it’s an athletic event, school program, meeting or other activity.

As with any calendar published in advance, schedules are subject to change. Occasionally, an event may be added, canceled or rescheduled after our newspaper has gone to press. We encourage readers to keep that possibility in mind and check with the individual school when in doubt.
