The Sentinel will require early copy for our May 29th issue because of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 26th. The Sentinel office will be closed for the holiday, but we will print as usual on Wednesday morning, so there will NOT be an early issue, we just need early copy! Please turn in all ads and news no later than this Friday, May 23rd before 5:00 p.m.

The menus for the Walker Senior Center for the week beginning Monday, May 26, are as follows: Monday—Closed for Memorial Day; Tuesday— Chicken enchilada casserole, beets, tortilla chips, tropical fruit. Wednesday— Beef frank, parslied potatoes, bread, mandarin oranges. Thursday—Beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, broccoli, bread, rosy pears. Friday—Chicken salad sandwich, coleslaw, bun, cantaloupe, pudding.

Get ready for some fun in the sun! The Stockton Swimming Pool will officially open for the season on Monday, May 26th, at 1:00 p.m., weather permitting. The daily hours will be from 1:00 p.m.

The Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 26th, are scheduled as follows: Mt. Vernon Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., St.

The Nova Theatre in Stockton will change to its summer showtimes (7:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings) starting this weekend, Friday, May 23rd.

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the government surplus commodities distribution will be held on Monday, May 19th, for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. The distribution will be held in Stockton on Monday, May 19th, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall. Please enter through the front door at 314 Main Street.
