Body As the Sentinel office will be closed on Monday, September 7th (Labor day), early copy will be necessary for the September 10th issue. All ads, news and copy must be in our office by 5:00 p.m. next Friday, September 4th. Help us give you a better edition by contributing your news!

Body The Nova Theatre will be changing to its Fall/Winter showtime schedule this weekend, September 4th to September 7th. Friday, Saturday and Monday showtimes will be at 7:00 p.m. with Sunday changing to the matinee showtime of 2:00 p.m.

Body Just a reminder that the Carmen Bray- George Benefit this Saturday, August 15th at 5:00 p.m. at the Natoma City Park. (In case of inclement weather the dinner for Carmen, who has been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, will be at the Community Center.

Body The monthly Stockton PRIDE meeting will be held at Stockton City Hall during the noon hour on Tuesday, July 14th. The Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce’s monthly meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. at 183 Lanes. Hope to see you there!

Body July is National Parks and Recreation Month and Stockton PRIDE is once again encouraging people to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors!

Body In appreciation to all the First Responders for the tireless work they do, a First Responders Appreciation Day will be held on the Nina Desaire farm located at 3884 P Road (3/4 of a mile off of Highway 18) in Damar, Kansas. (Look for the balloons and streamers at the turnoff.

Body The Rooks County Free Fair is just around the corner, so that means the Fair Office is now open in anticipation of the annual event! Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please call 785-425- 7189 for information and updates about this year’s Fair!
