Just a reminder that the Stockton Food Pantry is open next Thursday, October 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Food Pantry is located at 602 Main Street in the building behind the Main Street Christian Church Parsonage.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, October 17, are as follows: Monday—Salisbury steak in gravy, mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, bread, pears. Tuesday— Ham and beans, coleslaw, cornbread, ambrosia fruit salad. Wednesay— Oven-baked chicken, baked beans, bread pudding, bread, mandarin oranges. Thursday—Beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, strawberry shortcake. Friday—Baked fish, macaroni and cheese, broccoli, bread, applesauce.

Please take note that the annual FFA Goblin’s Glory will be held next Thursday, October 20th in the Stockton High School Gym. This date is different than what was printed on the school calendar, so make plans to attend this night of spooky fun.

The Rooks County Clerk’s Office has announced that beginning Wednesday, October 19th, you are now allowed to vote in advance of the November 8th General Election, by visiting the Rooks County Clerk’s Office, 2nd Floor of the Rooks County Courthouse. The deadline for advance in-person voting is Monday, November 7th.

The Stockton students are pumping up the spirit every day of this Homecoming week before it all culminates with the crowning of the queen and king before the home football game this Friday, October 7th!

The Nova Theatre will be closed on Friday, October 7th so everyone can enjoy the SHS Homecoming activities. Then on Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th, the Nova will show the movie, “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” rated PG with a running time of 102 minutes. Go, Tigers!

The Stockton NHS will be recycling plastic, aluminum, tin and glass (no trash bags or paper) this Saturday, October 1st. Please bring your recyclables to the high school parking lot from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
