First Christian Church of Plainville

Body
Our message last week from Acts 16 ended with the offer of salvation to the jailer's entire household. This came after Paul and Silas, being held as prisoners for preaching God's Word, were freed by a great earthquake, and the jailer was going to be held responsible. But instead of killing himself, the jailer asked what he had to do to be saved. The answer: 'Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.'

Change your clock, change your battery

Body
On average, families have less than three minutes from the time the first smoke alarm sounds to escape a fire. Working smoke alarms provide the early warning and critical extra seconds needed to escape and cut the risk of dying in home fire structures in half. When you set your clock back on November 2nd, use the extra hour to make a life-saving change in your household— change and test the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors—and remind your friends, family and neighbors to do the same.

New Farm Wife Chronicles

Body
Happy Sunday evening from McReynolds Farms! Today, I avoided the grocery store like a ninja and managed to take a nap so monumental, I think I slept through the apocalypse. All in all, it's been a pretty good day if you count mastering the art of doing absolutely nothing as a skill.
