The regular monthly meeting of the Rooks County Health Center Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s meeting room. The public is encouraged to attend.

On Monday, April 6th, at 4:48 p.m., the Plainville Fire Department responded to a call that turned out to be a false alarm caused by blowing dust. Fire Chief Craig Wise noted that the department had also handled two other small fires in the past two weeks, highlighting a busy period for the crew.

The Plainville Lions Club kept its vibrant tradition alive on Thursday, April 9th, celebrating more than 65 years of history with the annual Fourth-Grade Banquet.

Happy Sunday, everyone! This morning, we looked outside and saw the cows already out and about, probably thinking, “Hey, let’s get an early start on being fabulous.” Meanwhile, I was still in my nightgown, contemplating whether I should even bother getting out of bed.

It was indeed a great show when many of 'The Greatest Showman' tunes were performed by the Stockton High School choir and band, with the junior high choir and band added, at their spring music concert on Thursday, April 9th, under the red-and-white-striped tent in the high school gym.
