Mayor Kyle Karlin called the April 21st special meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Those present were council members Brandon Kuhn, Koleson Hubbard, Joan Underhill, and Don Steeples (via phone); city clerk Larissa Wilson; mayor Kyle Karlin; and treasurer Patricia Wendling.

Rooks County Landfill Supervisor Danny Knoll and Casey Ferguson with CAT were at the county commission meeting on Thursday, April 30th, to talk about a commercial trash compactor for the landfill. Ferguson explained how it works, stating that the 2002 model costs $315,000.00 with 3,000 hours.

Stockton High School junior Isaac Thayer has been honored with the Most Sustainable Business Award at the Kansas State Youth Entrepreneurship Competition for his innovative business, IT Timeless.
