A special meeting of the Stockton Unified School District No. 271 Board of Education was held on Thursday, April 9th. Present were board members Spencer Hilbrink, Andy Muir, Jessy Maddy, and Ginger Riffel. Chad Sterling, Michael Carpenter, and Amanda Atkisson were absent.

The March 16th meeting of the Crossroads Quilt Guild was called to order at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments provided by Bertha McGann and Karen McCune.

The excitement in the air is palpable as the students of Stockton High School prepare for one of the most anticipated nights of the year: Prom. The theme this year is 'A Golden Masquerade,' setting the stage for a night of elegance and mystery.

“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love is everlasting.” [Psalm 118] Since 2000, the second Sunday of Easter has been designated Divine Mercy Sunday. The theme of all Sunday’s readings was mercy.

'The Confusion over Christ' was the message title taken from John 7:4953. Different people will have their own picture of Jesus, but the real issue is: Does your version of Jesus match the biblical description of Jesus? A lot of people want a milder version of Jesus.

First Christian Church is a monthly supporter of Lakeview Christian Camp at Webster Lake. Each summer, the Camp hosts hundreds of young people from all over western Kansas seeking to grow in their relationship with God.

This school year, Plainville High School senior Addison Staab has participated in the PHS Pathways program, joining us at the library Monday through Thursday mornings. She has gained hands-on experience in all aspects of library work—from front desk and clerical tasks to leadership roles.
