Well, today’s the day! I’m packing up and heading to Kansas City to visit family and, honestly, it’s a bittersweet moment. Why? Because I’m sacrificing my beloved Sunday nap, which is basically my weekly superpower, to spend some quality time with loved ones.

Pumpkin Project Spotlights 4-H Fair Entries

A fair visitor wandering through the 4-H Building at the Rooks County Fair might have thought that Charlie Brown's giant pumpkin had come to visit!! In fact, the giant pumpkin in the FCE fair booth was just one part of the Hobart Homemakers FCE unit's yearlong focus project on 'Pumpkins!

Just like that, the whole town has settled back into the school-year routine! As children head back to school, please remember we have children walking to school on their own for the first time, new bike riders, and new drivers on the roads. Let’s all work together to keep everyone safe.
