Braden and Kacey Mayes of Wichita are happy to announce the birth of their first child. Caroline Renee Mayes was born at 5:23 p.m. on August 18, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She weighed 8 pounds, 5.5 ounces and was 20 inches long.

The numbers may change a little on the milo as a few farmers are still bringing in their crop, but as of Monday, November 29th,the Stockton Farmers Union Elevator’s numbers for this year’s harvest are 205,000 bushels of corn, 56,000 bushels of soybeans and 572,000bushels of milo.

An earthquake was recorded early Monday morning in central Rooks County, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. The 3.2-magnitude quake was observed at 1:32 a.m.

On Saturday November 13, a diversified group of happy, determined people gathered in the Visitors’ Center to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Nicodemus as a National Historic Site.

Shirlee Muir had seven family members for lunch on Thanksgiving. At 5 p.m. other family members came for the lighting of Shirlee’s Christmas decorations that her three daughters came and put up for her.
