• A guy walks into a bar and orders 12 shots. Before the bartender even returns with the check, the man has slammed back half of them and shows no signs of slowing down.
Love you, Dad My Dad passed away twenty years ago on February 16th, 2006. It doesn’t seem possible he has been gone that long because I feel him in my heart every day.

Most people know about Custer’s Last Stand at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in Montana Territory, June 25, 1876, when a combined force of several Indian nations defeated Custer’s 7th Cavalry and killed 268, including Custer. His fatal tactics were shaped by what we call “Custer’s First Stand,” in Kansas, in 1867.
• This is a true story. A Cheyenne friend, Serle Chapman, who has written several books and given many talks about Cheyenne culture and history, is sometimes asked how he feels about being called Indian.
As the Rooks County Development Director for the Heartland Community Foundation, I see every day how generous our community truly is. That generosity is what makes Match Month such an exciting opportunity for Rooks County.
• This is a true story, sent to us from one of our Sentinel- Times subscribers. This And That * “We’re All In This Together!” I can’t believe that “High School Musical” is 20 years old! I love all the songs and the dancing sequences choreographed by the one and only Kenny Ortega! And just so you all know, I was gifted with a Troy Bolton key ring that I used for many years until it fell apart. * Do the schools still have the students cut out silhouettes of Washington and Lincoln for Presidents Day? * I agree with this….If the temperature outside is younger than I am, don’t invite me to go anywhere.
A weekly reader sent in the following joke, just in time for the big game: the Super Bowl. A man arrived at the Super Bowl and was unhappy with his seat, which was very high above the field and the view was blocked in certain areas by poles or other obstacles.
This And That * I don’t know if I even did anything wrong, because I am pretty sure I followed the directions exactly, since I took two rights and a left, and ended up on the gangplank of a cruise ship! * Do other people have the same problem? I am terrible at waking up and even worse at going to sleep. * Remember that every once in a while, you will be standing right in the middle of a moment that will be one of your most precious memories in years to come.
