The United States turns a stately 250 years old on Saturday. That is young for some countries, but a pretty darn good haul for a Republic founded on an ideal and held together by common agreement that we like it.

Remembering Dad and Duffy Dad’s heavenly birthday is June 11th. For years, we would combine his birthday with Father’s Day for whatever June weekend worked best for the family.
