Stephen Douglas Rock of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on June 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. at the age of 66. He was born on March 22, 1955, to Don and Garnett Rock in Colby, Kan. Steve attended high school in Stockton, Kan., where he graduated, serving as president of his class.

Former Stockton resident Kayla Danielle Higle, age 29, of Salina, passed away July 12th, 2021. She was born January 15th, 1992, in Hutchinson to Tony Higle and Leia Brooks. She was the mother of two handsome boys, Trenton Thompson, age 9, of Salina, and Taesyn Benoit, age 5, of Palco.

Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Norton passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at her home in Plainville at the age of 65. She was born in Plainville on October 9, 1955 to William and Esther “Ruth” (Larsen) Brickley. Bobbi was united in marriage to Don Norton.

Ronald M. Chesney, age 72, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away after an extended battle with cancer Monday, July 5, 2021, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Ronnie was born March 13, 1949 in Hays. He was one of five sons born to Homer Bruce and Eileen (Meyers) Chesney.

Rylan Alexander Gier, Sylvan Grove, entered into the arms of his savior on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri at the young age of 14. He was born to Ryan and Sara (Fisher) Gier on June 22, 2007, in Hays, Kansas.

Marlin Gene “Mark” Foster, of Stockton, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 84. He was born to Ivan and Emma (Ziems) Foster on March 19, 1937, in Seward, Nebraska. Mark was blessed with four children: Rick, Randy, Rhonda, and Rebecca.

David Lee Schneider, 88, of WaKeeney, passed away July 1, 2021. He was born in Norton, Kansas, on February 8, 1933, to Abe and Ethel (Jameson) Schneider. He graduated from Norton Community High School and received his bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University.

Former Stockton resident, Ruth Eloise Jackson, age 93, of Salina, passed away Friday, June 25th, 2021.  She was born in Stockton, Kansas on September 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Betsy (Chandler) and Earl Hance.

Lewis Marcell Stephen, age 71, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, June 21st. He was born on January 3, 1950, in Stockton, Kansas to Lewis Harold Stephen and Glennys Faye (Reed) Stephen. They lived on the family farm along Bow Creek in Rooks County.
