Marvin Willis Mann, 82, of Plainville, Kansas, passed away on April 28, 2026, at
Rooks County Health Center in Plainville.
He was born May 23, 1943, in Smith Center, Kansas, to Willis and Esther (Molzahn) Mann.
Marvin grew up in Kensington, Kansas, and graduated from Kensington High School in 1961. He went on to earn his master’s degree in counseling and vocational agriculture from Kansas State University in 1970.
Germaine "Geri" Thyfault-Brin-Fry, 91, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Pinnacle Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Salina. She passed with her loving children by her side, just one week shy of her 92nd birthday, on the exact day her own mother was born 119 years earlier.
She was born on January 9, 1934, in Damar, Kansas, the youngest of four children born to Jeanette Cecilia (Thibault) and Louis Meddie Thyfault. She attended Damar Grade School and graduated from Damar High School in 1952.
Dorothy “Dora Mae” (Rome) Taylor, age 71, a former Victoria resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton.
She was born on May 9, 1954, in Hays, Kansas, to Wilmer J. and Valeria (Wittman) Rome. Dorothy married Leonard C. Taylor on May 8, 1976, in Victoria.
She grew up in Victoria and attended school there, and is a former member of Saint Fidelis Church.
Former Plainville resident Norma Leigh Bard, 97, Wiggins, Colo., passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026.
She was born on August 28, 1928.
She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of dedicated service. She also volunteered at Hays Medical Center, generously giving her time to support the community.
Tina Denise Jackson, 59, of Cut Bank, Mont., passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls.
She was born in WaKeeney, Kansas, on September 4, 1966, to LaMoyne “Jake” Jackson and Wanda (Shearer) Jackson of Hill City, Kansas. Tina attended K-12 in Hill City and graduated from Hill City High School in 1985. Tina then continued her education at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. She graduated in 1989 at the top of her class with a BA in Elementary Education.
Elnora Lyn-Nell Reynolds Lowry Clark passed away on April 27, 2026, at age 87 years in Ransom at Grisell Memorial Hospital, ISB.
She was born to Willie and Flossie (Fuller) Reynolds on February 26, 1939, in Dodge City, Kansas. She married her first love, Billy Lowry, on November 10, 1957, when she was 18. They spent most of their married life in Rose Hill. To this union, five children were born: Tomie, Teresa, Tod, Trevor, and Tabitha.
