Body In the early morning of Sunday, May 16th when the banks of Paradise Creek overflowed and flooded the town of Natoma due to the torrential rains, the damage did not stop there as the runoff and overflow made its way to other areas throughout the countryside.

SHS Honor Roll released

Body The Second Semester Principal’s Honor Roll, Regular Honor Roll, and Honorable Mention have been released for Stockton High School (Grades 8-12). The honor roll is compiled at the end of each semester.

Homestead display at Rooks County Historical Museum

Body Rooks County Museum coordinator Sue McFarland has contributed a series to the local newspapers during the last few months highlighting the “Names On The Wall,” detailing historical facts about Rooks County’s Civil War veterans.
THE ROOKS COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM has a large map of the county on display showing the initial Homestead claims filed by the Civil War veterans.

New waterlines needed by Solomon Valley Manor

Body At the Stockton City Commission meeting held on Tuesday, May 18th, clerk Courtney Flower informed the commissioners that the City will need to change out the waterlines to provide better flow to the proposed site of the new Solomon Valley Manor.

SHS Awards Night held May 6th

Body The Stockton High School students and athletes were honored at the SHS Awards Night held on Thursday, May 6th. A slide show of the students participating in activities throughout the year, and set to the school song, was shown prior to the program.
