Shot clock approved for trial run in 2024-25

The 35-second shot clock has been approved on a trial basis for the 2024-25 basketball season by KSHSAA Executive Board at their board meeting on Wednesday, January, 10. All KSHSAA member schools will have the option to utilize the shot clock for all home boys and girls basketball games at the varsity level.

Carolina Northup and Ashlyn Hahn wrestled their way to the top of the podium last Saturday at the JR Durham Invitational wrestling tournament held in Norton. The two ladies, wrestling at 100 and 125 lbs. respectively, won each of their matches by a fall to capture first place.

Sub-state basketball assignments announced

The Kansas State High School Activities Association recently released the sub-state basketball tournament assignments for Classes 1A6A. Stockton has been assigned to the Class 1A Division I Sub-State Tournament hosted by Oberlin-Decatur Community High School in Oberlin. The tourney will take place February 22 - March 2, 2024.

Stockton girls to Scott City, boys to Norton for regional wrestling

Regional wrestling assignments have been announced by the Kansas State High School Activities Association for the boys and girls in classes 1A-6A. The Tiger girls will be heading south to Scott City for their class 4-1A regional tourney which will be held on Saturday, February 10, at the Scott City Event Center.

SJH Tigers take on Lincoln at home

Last Thursday the Stockton Junior High Tigers hosted Lincoln in Pike Trails League basketball action. The Tigers’ B-team boys picked up a win, defeating Lincoln in a close game, 19-17. Stockton’s A-team boys fell 25-15, and the C team lost 8-6.
