Lady Tigers compete in MCL Tournament

Pool play action of the 2022 Mid-Continent League Volleyball Tournament was held last Thursday, with the Stockton Lady Tigers assigned to the Norton site to take on Ellis and the Lady Jays. The winner of the triangular advanced to the championship finals held last Saturday in Plainville, where the Smith Center Lady Red ended up as the MCL Champions.

Tigers to host Quinter in football on Friday

After being idle last week due to having to forfeit their game against Hill City because of low numbers, the Stockton Tigers will be back in action this Friday when they host the Quinter Bulldogs in district football action. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. This will be the final game of the regular season for the Tigers with cross district play beginning on October 27.

SJH Tiger teams defeated by Hoxie to close season

In their final action of the 2022 season, the Stockton Junior High Tigers were defeated at home by the visiting Hoxie Indians in both volleyball and football action. Despite the sweep on the court which saw the Lady Indians winning the A-Team match-up 11-25, 8-25; the B-Team contest 17-25, 12-25; and the C-Team match 18-25, 15-25, Coach Megan Riener was pleased with this year’s team.

SHS Lady Tigers move record to .500 with two wins at Palco

The Stockton Lady Tigers improved to 15-15 on the season following their two wins over Northern Valley and Logan/ Palco last Tuesday in Logan. Stockton defeated the Lady Huskies in two close sets, 25-22, 25-22, and then downed Logan/Palco 29-19, 25-20.

Junior high girls fall at home to Logan/Palco

Stockton hosted Logan/ Palco in junior high volleyball action on September 29, and, although they continue to improve, the A-Team Lady Tigers fell to the visitors 25-23, 12-25, 6-15. In B-Team action, Stockton won 25-9, 25-22, and the C-Team girls won an exciting match 25-20, 26-24.
