This Friday the Stockton High School Tigers will open their basketball seasons when they travel to Russell to take on the Broncos in Mid-Continent League action. Games are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

In junior high basketball action just before the Thanksgiving Break, the Stockton Junior High Tigers took on Plainville and Phillipsburg. On Thursday, November 17, at Plainville, the Lady Tigers A Team was defeated 3-37, the B Team lost 4-24, and the C Team fell 2-10.

The Stockton Junior High Basketball Teams were busy again last week, hosting Ellis on Tuesday and traveling to Plainville on Thursday. The Tigers have one more game before the Thanksgiving Break, as they host the Phillipsburg Panthers this Tuesday. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.

The wait is over for Kansas trout anglers, as Nov. 1 marked the opening day of trout season. More than 30 waters are being stocked with rainbow trout, providing anglers across the state with winter fishing opportunities.
