Joseph M. Bellerive passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton at the age of 98. 

He was born on November 11, 1926, in Damar, Kansas, the son of Joseph Bellerive and Elsie (Brin) Bellerive. Joseph married Eleanor Newell in Damar on January 15, 1946, and they enjoyed nearly 64 loving years together. 

Joseph was an active member of the St. Thomas Catholic church his entire adult life. His involvements included Knights of Columbus, Parish Council, Eucharistic Minister & CCD teacher, to list just a few. 

Rosalind Gail Vacca, 86, of Colby, died on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

She was born on December 7, 1938, in Pueblo, Colo., to Wyeth and DuReece Porr. Gail grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas, and graduated from Pittsburg High School.

She met Frank from Frontenac when they were both out with other friends. The couple was united in marriage on February 7, 1959, in Frontenac, Kansas, and they welcomed three children to this union.

Janice Elaine (Wanamaker) McKinnis, 87, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Escondido, Calif.

She was born on December 1, 1937, in Clay Center, Kansas. She was the daughter of Howard and Grace Wanamaker, and big sister to Gary and Bruce Wanamaker. The family moved to Stockton, Kansas, in the early forties. 

Janice excelled in anything related to music. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1955 and left Stockton to get her B.A. in Music Education from the University of Kansas. She graduated in 1959. 

Steven Lee Schemm passed away on December 16, 2024, at his home in Stockton, at the age of 37. 

He was born on May 15, 1987, to Kevin and Lisa (Griebel) Schemm in Wichita, KS. He married Cassie Chandler on June 29, 2019.

Kenneth "Ken or Kenny" Eugene Roy, age 90, formerly of Stockton and WaKeeney, passed away on December 15, 2024, at the home of his daughter, Joyce, and son-in-law Richard "Rudy" Lawson, in Erie, Colorado.

He was born in Gary, Colorado, to John and Olive Morin Roy on February 23, 1934, during the Great Depression. Ken married Ruth Jackson on April 29, 1953, in Stockton. They were blessed with two children, Janice, who died a day after her birth, and Joyce.

Gregory "Greg" Lynn Meyers, of Plainville, passed away on December 11, 2024, at Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, at the age of 75.

He was born on February 28, 1949, to William Bill and Freeda  Anora (Casey) Meyers in Hays, Kansas. He was married in 1971 to Brenda  Turnbull.
