Jean LaVon Hunt passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas, at the age of 93. She was born on October 8, 1926 to William and Myrtle (Sines) Lafferty in Otis, Colorado.

Funeral services for Cecil L. Overlease, age 89, of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery near Manhattan, Kansas with Reverend Dale Engle officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard.

Gerald F. “Jerry” Ruder was called to his heavenly home on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, at the age of 83. He was born to Leo and Bridget (Bieker) Ruder on December 6, 1936, in rural Rooks County.

Patricia “Pat” Louise (Blass) Weidenhaft, Stockton, passed away on September 12, 2020, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, KS, from a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66.

Cecilia Rose Graf, age 7, of Abilene, passed away tragically Wednesday, September 9, 2020.   She was born August 7, 2013 in Salina, the beautiful daughter of Shawn and Lacy (Kraushaar) Graf.  Cecilia was in the 1st grade and attended St. Andrew’s Catholic School.

Marion Renner, retired teacher, full time mother and eternal hell raiser checked out on September 7th, 2020. She was born at home in Zurich, Kansas on July 12, 1933 and often told folks she was “homemade.

Kathleen “Kathy” Diane Stice, Stockton, passed away on September 6, 2020 at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas, at the age of 64. She was born on February 7, 1956 to Franklin and Ruby (Allene) Smith in El Dorado, Kansas. Kathy was united in marriage to James “Jim” Stice on February 14, 1976.

Ruth A. Winters, age 71, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020, at her home in Russell. She was born January 25, 1949 in Stockton, Kansas, the daughter of Lorraine Edward and Eunice (Maddox) Williams.

Alec Paul “Putts” Hrabe, Stockton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in Rooks County, at the age of 57. He was born to Doyle and Dorothy (Thyfault) Hrabe on April 23, 1963 at the Hays Hospital in Hays, Kansas.

Longtime Stockton resident Laverne Mae Merklein, age 80, passed away on September 7, 2020, at Hays Medical Center in Hays. She was born on December 4, 1939, in Norton, to Ernest H. and Mathilda (Tillie) M. (Vogel) Grau.
