Blizzard conditions in the area last week

Body
What a difference a day makes when it comes to our crazy Kansas weather! Tast Tuesday, March 18 th, had abundant sunshine and near-record-high temperatures for this time of year before it all changed overnight. The more than 35-mph winds blew in a wet snowstorm, turning the area and a good portion of Kansas into a blizzard with whiteout conditions.
THE TREES AROUND TOWN and throughout the county took on the brunt of the March 19th snowstorm that swept through the area. In the blizzard's aftermath, piles of tree limbs could be seen around town, awaiting the city crew to pick up the debris. Many residents in and around the county experienced power loss as a result of the heavy, wet snow and blizzard-condition high winds.
